To deepen the integration of industry and education, promote the research, development and industrial upgrading of bio-based materials such as alginate fiber, on the afternoon of 13 November 2025, Mr. Gong Zhaoqing, general manager of Shandong Ever Biotechnology co., ltd, led a delegation to the School of Textile Science and Engineering of Wuhan Textile University for an exchange and discussion. An agreement was formally signed to establish a joint postgraduate workstation. Vice-deans Xia Zhigang and Ke Wei along with other representatives, attended the event.

Recently, Ever successfully enhanced the salt and alkali resistance of alginate fiber, significantly improving its environmental adaptability. Simultaneously, leveraging its extensive technical expertise in the dyeing and printing sector, our company has developed a highly efficient dyeing and finishing process specifically for alginate fiber, achieving a major breakthrough in dark-shade dyeing technology.
Vice Dean Xia Zhigang outlined the faculty's research strengths in functional fiber materials, novel yarn production technologies and high-end textile development, emphasizing that this collaboration marks a significant step in transforming ‘organizational research’ into industrial practice.
In the future, both parties will undertake joint research and development initiatives encompassing alginate fiber and their products, functional additives, and differentiated dyes. Meanwhile, leveraging the postgraduate workstation platform, the two parties will establish a dual-mentor training mechanism to collaboratively cultivate high-level innovative talents.
